Creamy Tuscan Chicken Recipe (Easy, Rich & Delicious)

Step 5: Add the Parmesan Cheese

Gradually stir the freshly grated Parmesan cheese into the warm sauce until it melts.

Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and black pepper if necessary. Remember that Parmesan cheese already contributes saltiness, so add extra salt gradually.

If the sauce seems too thick, stir in a small splash of chicken broth. If it is too thin, allow it to simmer gently for another minute or two before proceeding.

Step 6: Add the Spinach

Add the fresh baby spinach to the skillet in handfuls, stirring as each batch begins to wilt.

Cook for approximately 1–2 minutes, just until the spinach is tender and incorporated into the creamy sauce.

Fresh spinach cooks quickly, so avoid overcooking it. The leaves should retain some color and freshness rather than becoming dull and mushy.

Step 7: Return the Chicken to the Skillet

Place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet, along with any juices that have collected on the plate.

Spoon the creamy Tuscan sauce over the chicken and allow everything to simmer gently for approximately 3–6 minutes, or until the thickest part of each chicken breast reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Cooking time depends on the thickness of the chicken, so use a food thermometer rather than relying on timing alone.

Once the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has reached your preferred consistency, remove the skillet from the heat.

Step 8: Garnish and Serve

Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley and a little additional Parmesan over the finished dish, if desired.

Serve the creamy Tuscan chicken immediately while the sauce is warm and silky. Add cooked pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables to complete the meal.

For a restaurant-style presentation, place the chicken on a serving platter, spoon the sauce generously over the top, and finish with a little freshly cracked black pepper.
